Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer condemned the media on Monday for its coverage of the Army's 250th anniversary parade on Saturday.

Legacy media outlets labeled the celebration "[President Donald] Trump's Military Parade," while also covering anti-Trump "No Kings" protests that took place the same day across the country. Spicer, on "The Morning Meeting," said referring to the event as "Trump's parade" was "disgusting" and suggested media coverage disrespected the Army.

"The Army and the Navy were founded before the country, right? So, my point is that this year we will careen into the 250th anniversary of the country. How do they handle that? The idea that most of these people called it Trump's parade is disgusting," Spicer said. "CNN didn't bother to air the end of that beautiful celebration the other night … It was moving and patriotic. And the idea that they chose to cover rallies called 'No Kings,' I mean, it was embarrassing for the media how this was covered."
