This are positive developments.

The scare coming from the ME have never been its military capabilities, which are paper tigers as we have seen previously from Saddam's Iraq and now Iran.

Instead, it has always been the terrorists which target both military but also civilians.  Think Beirut barracks, Oct 7 and 9/11.

There is little the western world can do about it as it is most difficult to identify which in the Islamic world are the terrorists.
But Muslims can, and that is the means to identify and eliminate them.

Since Iran is the primary sponsor of terror, to have the rest of the ME join with us against Iran is the best possible step in the direction to keep terrorism at bay.

What did Iran ask from Russia?

Vladimir Putin met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday. He brought a letter from Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei from Tehran, which not only expressed hope for deepening cooperation between the countries, but also a list of what Iran would like to receive from Russia right now.

First, we are talking about intelligence. The letter did not say so directly, but the current Iranian authorities indicate the need to inform about serious threats, if any. Probably, we are talking about information about the US preparations for a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, which we (apparently) did not pass on to Iran [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/5828 ].

Secondly, Iran wants to see Russia not as a negotiator [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/5798 ], but as an ally. Khamenei noted that he greatly appreciates the Kremlin's attempts to resolve the situation, but stressed that in difficult moments it is important to show strength and unity.

Thirdly, in addition to intelligence, they want to see supplies of air defense systems from Russia, as well as drones and even aircraft. The latter element should level the air situation.
