Excerpt:
In a move that’s sending shockwaves through Washington, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) has introduced a constitutional amendment that would automatically oust every member of Congress if inflation exceeds 3%. The proposal, detailed in a post on X, is a bold bid to hold lawmakers accountable for economic mismanagement, and it’s already sparking fierce debate. Lee’s idea, inspired by Warren Buffett’s 2011 suggestion to end deficits by making Congress ineligible for re-election if the deficit tops 3% of GDP, has been adapted to target inflation instead. For Trump supporters, it’s a game-changer; for critics, it’s a reckless gamble. Here’s what you need to know.

That's a great idea!

Let’s make it happen!

This makes sense to everyone but Congress, of course, but this would put an end to their crap.

Leave inflation management to the professionals in Government and the dreaded private sector.  House Members are up for re-election every 2 years, so, the voters do have a political means of holding Congressmen accountable.

Recent inflation was brought about by Covid-19 supply chain disruptions, and its stickiness was made worse by bad Biden policies.  So much for being transient.  That's what happens when the Dems have the Presidency, the House, and the US Senate.

Another factor was Biden's hostility toward vehicles running on petroleum, and the oil and gas industry. When fuel costs 30% (or more) more, the increased cost of shipping (and producing) literally everything gets factored into the price.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Government is 100% responsible for inflation.  Government controls the money supply.  If the government would stop printing money to fund government excess and would start demanding repayment of outstanding debt, there would be zero inflation.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
