VIDEO: My Beyond WILD Portugal Trip Adventures and Misadventures Part 1

Here is a summary of the WILD experiences I had in Portugal over the course of 11 days from May 20 to May 31 which feels more like a couple of months. This is just a summary of what I will show in more detail with photos and videos over the course of the next few weeks which will be posted on weekends. Some of what you are about to see and hear appears no where else and hopefully will save you a lot of money and grief if you decide to visit that magical country.

I barely scratched the surface in this video because there is a lot more to come. One warning: After spending days eating Portuguese food you will never again be able to eat food such as frozen pizza again as I found out today. Dining in Portugal sets your gastronomic standards at a much higher level.

We had not a drop of rain the whole time. In fact some of the days had not a cloud in the sky. Did you go to Palacio de Pena in Sintra? I found out there that 19th century Portuguese kings and queens slept in really LOUSY beds. It made me appreciate even more our adjustable bed back home that we can remote control into any position of head and feet and a whole bunch of different vibration types and levels including Earthquake Mode.

It rained every single day of our trip.  Heavy winds at night, too.  We had arranged transportation up to the palace, but the vans never showed up.  There was one person in our party who couldn't have made the walk up, so we skipped it.  Sintra was lovely, though.  But the coolest part was driving the backroads through the Portuguese countryside.

So how many days did the rain last during your Portugal trip? That had to be a bummer.
