‘Nobody can get him to stop doing this’: Fmr Democrat strategist baffled by Biden’s latest remarks about democracy

Former Democrat strategist Dan Turrentine said Friday on “The Ingraham Angle” that it appears no one in his party will tell former President Joe Biden to stop publicly speaking about the 2024 election, adding that the former president is holding the party back.

After delivering a Memorial Day event speech in Delaware, Biden said he was “very proud” of his “record” prior to dropping out of the race, appearing to suggest President Donald Trump had been “last” in favorability. While discussing Biden’s comments, Fox News host Laura Ingraham told Turrentine that the former president had been “pushed out” of the 2024 race.

“One of the ironies is that as Donald Trump’s poll numbers went down earlier this year, our poll numbers didn’t go up,” Turrentine said. “One of the reasons that they didn’t go up is that we are struggling to move forward, and Biden keeps pulling us backwards.”

“Both of you said it. He wants to relitigate this contest. During that speech celebrating Memorial Day today, he once again talked about democracy and this choice we face coming up,” Turrentine added. “We just had an election. The problem that our party has is there’s nobody that can get him to stop doing this, to say, ‘Hey Joe, this isn’t good for you, certainly not good for us.’”

 Biden on ‘Original Sin’ authors: ‘I can beat the hell out of both of them’

Former President Biden blasted the authors of a new book detailing his mental decline during the 2024 race for president and his final few months in office.

Biden was asked about chatter regarding his health stemming from a new book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again” by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson after speaking at an event in Delaware on Friday.

“You can see that I’m mentally incompetent, I can’t walk — and I can beat the hell out of both of them,” Biden said with a smirk while speaking with reporters.

Joe's appearance at the post-Memorial Day remembrance was just odd. I doubt he knew it was about Memorial Day, and just thought it was all about Beau's heroic death in combat. The opportunity to sniff a reporterette was a bonus.

This clip is so unnerving on several levels, from leaning into reporters faces, to contradicting the health reports from his offices release and then saying he will beat the hell out of Tapper and Thompson.
And this is how you know this media tour is disingenuous because none of them have anything to say about it.
They are still looking away and pretending none of this happened hoping Biden just goes away and dies in the woods in Delaware.
