Immigrants and advocates of immigrants in Florida on Tuesday, April 1, 20125, denounced a partnership between local police departments statewide and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as part of President Donald Trump’s aggressive deportation strategy.
More than 100 undocumented immigrants were arrested Thursday at Tallahassee construction sites, including at an apartment project near Florida State University, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

State and federal law-enforcement officers handcuffed construction workers and loaded them into vans before taking them away from the site near the university. Most of the building under construction, called Perla at the Enclave, is set to be apartments for FSU students.

A news release on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement website said several law-enforcement agencies were involved in the sweep. It said one person was taken into custody for resisting arrest and was being charged with four counts of assault on law-enforcement officers.

“These types of enforcement actions aim to eliminate illegal employment, holding employers accountable and protecting employment opportunities for America’s lawful workforce,” Nicholas Ingegno, assistant special agent in charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations Tallahassee, said in a prepared statement.

By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell - and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.

The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.

This was big news over here. Had to laugh at the comments from the FSU students.  Their biggest concern was that this would delay the completion of those apartments designated for Student Housing.  Oh the horror!
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.
