On May 6th the Supreme Court's opinion backed up the administration's ban on transvestites serving in the military.
There will be much debate on the topic while the identification and removal of as many as 1,000 soon-to-be former servicemembers continues. Active duty members have until June 6th to identify themselves to the Department of Defense, while Reserve and National Guard members have until July 7th.
As a former commander in the U.S. Army, I'm happy to see these failed experiments end, hopefully never to return. The reason is simple. They are a detriment to the military's dedication to readiness and lethality.
