Trump Looking to Redirect $3 Billion in Harvard Grants to U.S. Trade Schools

Simon Kent 26 May 2025

Three billion dollars in grant money previously destined for scientific and engineering research at elite Harvard University is being considered by President Donald Trump for redirection to trade schools.

Trump made public he is considering the move Monday via his social media platform Truth Social.

“I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land,” Trump wrote in the Truth Social post. “What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!”

On the surface it sounds like a good idea.  We need less educated idiots with BS college degrees and more doers and makers.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

How about redirecting it back to the Fed and reducing the amount of money borrowed to fund our current government.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

I totally agree. But I fear that there aren't enough people that actually want to do real work anymore.

Problem with that is that when trade schools take federal $$$$$ then they become beholden to arbitrary federal rules and regulations as administrations come and go, and the federal government will ultimately destroy them too.
