Trump Slams Putin Over Deadly Ukraine Strikes: 'I Don’t Know What the Hell Happened to Putin'

President Donald Trump delivered a rebuke of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, saying he was “not happy” about Moscow’s deadly missile strikes across Ukraine that left several dead, including three children, and others wounded. Despite Trump talking up Ukraine and Russia being on the cusp of a peace deal, his latest comments mark a clear condemnation of Putin’s aggression and one that suggests Russia is not ready to end the war.

While speaking to reporters at Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey, Trump accused Putin of "killing a lot of people" in the attack, which was launched on Sunday afternoon.

“I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin,” Trump said, adding that he is not pleased with what the Russian President is doing.

“I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don't like it at all,” the president added.

On Sunday, Russia launched drone and missile attacks in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities that resulted in 12 people dead and more critically injured. As a result, Trump suggested he would consider more sanctions against Moscow.

Is Trump really as stupid as he comes across here?  Or does Putin have something on him?

He seems to think Putin will be impressed with the threat of sanctions.  The only thing that will actually get Putin to the negotiating table is arming Ukraine to the teeth (a couple more Patriot batteries, a lot more ATCAMs, and actually getting them all the F-16s, with appropriate armaments for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, they were promised under Biden would be a a start), actually implementing all the threatened sanctions, and taking action to seize their "shadow fleet" of oil tankers.

He is, when it comes to Ukraine, perhaps blinded by 2016.

I think he believed that he could treat Putin as an old business partner, call him up, and cut a quick deal to end the war based on whatever previously relationship may or may not have existed.  Trump[ knows nothing about Russia and Ukraine historically, nor even the rest of Eastern Europe outside of what he watches on the History Channel.

As for Zelensky, again Trump is blinded by 2016 "Russia! Russia! Russia," and Burisma, as well as whatever stupid nonsense Tucker Carlson is telling Don Jr.  They really should know better.  Zelensky had nothing to do with any of that, and Trump doesn't even seem to realize that Zelensky was only ELECTED into office in 2019 while HE was president.  It was Poroschenko who was the corrupt one, and Trump actually tried to sound him out as a potential replacement back in March.  It's crazy!

I'm not even sure that Trump is really waking up.  He just seems perplexed and annoyed that Putin is not doing what he wants him to do, and not playing along with his grand promise to end the war in 24 hours.

You know, at least Biden had an excuse for his weak performance as POTUS.  He was f***ing senile from day one!  What is Trump's excuse other than his arrogance for appearing weak to Putin, and believe me, that is exactly how he appears.  Spineless.  Russians only respect brutal strength.  Nothing else.  All Trump's bullsh*t, Putin is laughing at!!!

Trump has a single approach to how he does everything.  He thinks he can negotiate anything, and that is not the case.  His empty, dishonest rhetoric once again hits a bullseye, with his I can end the war in 24 hours.  When he said it, I thought yeah, just like his promise not  kept to end the H1-b Visa Program, only to in fact increase the numbers.  One more big beautiful lie by Trump. 

It is sad that Trump, Biden and Harris are what the American people had a choice of in 2024.  That is no choice whatsoever.

His ego will have the Republicans losing in Nov, 2026, and his impeachment and removal in Feb, 2027.  That is what I see.

At least Europe is beginning to wake the f*** up regarding Russia.  They are beginning to strengthen their militaries in the likelihood Putin attacks other parts of Europe.
