Sheldon Ingram, the reporter on the clip said the line "if Corey O'Connor is elected in the fall". I burst out laughing. There hasn't been a Republican mayor in Pittsburgh in about 100 years. Whoever wins the Dem primary is the next mayor. Republicans do not even run a candidate most election years. Laughable!!!
Pittsburgh once had around 2 million people, and is now down to about 303,000. The city will struggle with that small a tax base. It has some of the worst paved roads in the country. I know, for I got a flat tire from a pot hole on my way to my wedding rehearsal.
The city that was once 3rd in the nation for corporate headquarters is no longer on the map. The city has been slowly dying with Democommie leadership since before Pete Flaherty was mayor. And he did nothing good for the city.
You could not pay me enough to live in Pittsburgh. It would take a seven figure salary to attract me there. And even then, I would be miserable. Yes, there is a lot to do there. But that is not enough. Having only about 60 days of sunshine is the most depressing point that would keep me away. I live in an area with over 300 days of sunshine, and it does make a difference in one's mindset.
Plus, the simple fact is that these Dems are utterly clueless about attracting business to the city. CLUELESS. Pittsburgh will continue to die a slow death into obscurity. My entire family is there. Many friends too, and if I never return to the city, it will be no loss. It is truly a depressing place. Everything is old, dirty, and decaying. It will continue on a path of decline, and the idiot Dems that get elected to office will do nothing to change that outcome.
