The US state known for lobster, beautiful coastlines and being the home of elites like actors and former presidents has become a hotbed for illegal immigrant crossings under President Donald Trump.

The most migrants sneaking into the US through Maine in 24 years was recorded last month, the US Border Patrol revealed.

While The Pine Tree State usually saw between 25 and 50 encounters a month during the presidency of former President Joe Biden, the Border Patrol's Houlton Sector arrested 113 people in April.
 
It shows that migrants desperately trying to make it to the United States are choosing to enter through Canada, bypassing the intense layers of security at the Mexican border 2,000 miles away - where crossings have declined under President Donald Trump.

Maine already is lousy with Somalis or some such. I remember reading about how the illegals were raising a stink because the Muslim women, as they got their free healthcare, objected to being treated by male doctors.

For some reason, Somali's settled around Lewiston, ME.  Still preferrable to filthy French Canadians.

Maine also had a nickname, "Vacationland".

I believe 100% in legal immigration.

Equally, I believe 100% in the deportation of every illegal invading alien, no exception, no refugee status, no judges, nothing but deportation, with imprisonment if they are a 2nd+ time offender.

If our worthless Congress was worth a good BM, they would make that law.  Very simple people, but the people in Congress no longer represent the American people, nor do they care for the protection of the USA citizens.
