Kid Rock Responds After Reports Of His Nashville Bar Shutting Down Their Kitchen Due To ICE Raids

Setting the record straight.
 
Over the past couple of weeks, ICE and the Tennessee Highway Patrol have been working together on operations to detain illegal immigrants here in Nashville, something that has outraged Mayor Freddie O’Connell despite the Department of Homeland Security sharing profiles of several immigrants with lengthy and violent criminal records who have been captured during the raids:




According to a report from Fox 17 Nashville, several restaurants on Broadway in downtown Nashville were forced to either close early or shut down their kitchens recenetly after reports of ICE raids on Broadway caused employees to walk out or not show up for work.

One manager of an unnamed Broadway restaurant said their kitchen staff “split” after hearing rumors of ICE conducting operations on Broadway:

“It’s just creating this general sense of fear all the time. There were rumors flying around about ICE being on Lower Broadway. It was credible enough that we had to close the restaurant because back-of-house staff had to leave. Everyone split.”

And another restaurant manager said that more than half their staff didn’t show up:

Interesting, their ‘staff’ take off on concerns about an ICE raid and they seem to give the impression that they blame ICE, and not themselves for hiring illegal aliens. Also they name the owners of several of the establishments, prominently Kid Rock, because they are conservatives, as if they actually do the managing and hiring of personnel or run day to day operations.  It is odd though, they couldn’t name any liberal restaurant owners.

Same thing happening the DC area...ICE paying restaurants to check I-9 forms, and the staff splitting.  Seems that the restaurant industry is indeed overrun with illegal aliens and restaurant owners all too happy to hire them with forged paperwork.

Of course, if it's cheaper to hire illegals, employers with slim profit margins, like restaurants, will do it. I've heard of a commercial linen service near us that has a bunch of Azerbaijanis - presumably  here illegally  - working there. Anything to stay afloat, I guess.

Not just service industry, check your chicken processing plants.... almost completely illegals here... I know because a truck that picked up workers in the morning overturned and they all "disappeared" before the police could arrest them.
