The Walls Are Closing In on the Democrats
 
Democrats aren't happy with their party: Donald Trump may have been underwater, polling-wise, for most of his second presidency so far.

But the Democrats haven’t benefited from his unpopularity.

And that appears to stem, at least in part, from Democratic voters being very unhappy with their own party.
 
The Democrats Have Problems
Following the loss by Kamala Harris, which followed the slow-motion disaster of Joe Biden’s exit from the presidential race, there’s a great deal of angst among Democrats about the future of the party, about who should lead them going forward, and about whether the way forward is to move to the center, or to the left.

Some new polling suggests that Democratic voters are very pessimistic about how things look for the party going forward.

The problem is neither party, especially democrats, seems to have an agenda with the American people in mind.  Party politics is not what the American people want.  Democrats are far too reactionary and angry.  Perceptions of republicans are driven by the MSM which isn't the least bit favorable to the right.  How many of today's politicians would you choose as a friend? :thumbsdown:

I’ve been hearing the obituaries of both parties since WaterGate. “ They’ll never be a (insert political party here) in the White House again.”

Yet Democrats are either winning elections or coming close

And these articles about how unpopular the Democrats are in 2025 are similar to the articles about the Republican parties unpopularity in 2009.  Yet the midterms in 2010 were so bad for the Democrats that there were some democrats and media figures actual  suggesting canceling the 2010 midterm

For the first time since their 2006 election drubbing, top Republicans see signs — however faint — of a political resurgence over the next year.

At first blush, this sounds absurd. After all, polls show the GOP more unpopular than ever, and the John Ensign sex scandal serves as a vivid, real-time reminder of why many see the party as a collection of hypocrites.

But Obama never had a media determined to destroy him for every breath or action he took.
