Liberals Get A Taste Of Their Own 'January 6' Medicine

“No one is above the law,” drones the Democrat chorus as they pursue specious prosecutions of their enemies. “Except for us. And our friends. And our illegal aliens.”
President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal migration has roused retaliatory rhetoric from the Democratic Party. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued vaguely menacing remarks in response to the Trump administration’s inquiry into an altercation between Democratic members of the House of Representatives and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
“What happens if they were to go and arrest these members or if they would try to sanction them in the House of Representatives?” Fox News congressional reporter Chad Pergram asked Jeffries.
“They’ll find out,” Jeffries repeated. He elaborated: “It’s a red line. It’s very clear … I think that so-called Homeland Security spokesperson is a joke. It’s a joke. They know better than to go down that road, and it’s been made loudly and abundantly clear to the Trump administration, we’re not going to be intimidated by their tactics to try to force principled opposition from not standing up to their extremism.”
Our opposition is principled, yes. The primary principle is “destroy the country for short-term political gain.” Jeffries is referring to Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs, who promised arrest would be “on the table” for Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez if she “trespasses and if she assaults law enforcement officers.”
