Houthi Official Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti: If The U.S. Stops Its Aggression Against Yemen – We Will Stop Attacking U.S. Forces: We Will Continue To Target American And Other Ships Bound To Israel

On May 6, 2025, Yemeni Houthi official Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti appeared on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar), where he denied claims that the Houthis had made any commitment to halt their military operations in the Red Sea or against Israel before achieving their goal of ending the aggression against Gaza and lifting the siege on its people.
Al-Bukhaiti stated that Yemen will stop attacking America only when America stops its attacks on Yemen. He said the Houthis will hold the U.S. accountable for all the crimes it has committed in Yemen. He also confirmed that the Houthis will continue targeting any ship bound for Israeli ports. He stated that they will strike any ship, regardless of its flag, whether American or otherwise, if it has dealings with Israel.
Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti: "I would like to emphasize, so that everybody hears, that we did not – and will not – make a commitment to anyone to stop our military operations in support of our brothers in Gaza, whether in the Red Sea or in the Zionist entity itself, before these operations achieve their full goals, [putting] and end to the aggression against Gaza and the lifting of the siege on its people.

"We do not deal with declarations – whether by Trump or by anyone else. We deal with reality. When America actually stops its attacks against Yemen, we will stop our own attacks, but this does not mean that we would forget the results of the American aggression against Yemen. We will hold the U.S. accountable for all the crimes it has perpetrated in Yemen."
