Bernie Sanders Defends Private Jet Use, Says ‘He’s Too Important’ To Fly Coach
The revelations have sparked renewed questions over his public rhetoric and travel habits.
by Lifezette News Staff  May 08, 2025, 1:19 PM

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are drawing criticism after campaign filings and public appearances revealed that both lawmakers have been using private jets while promoting their “Fighting Oligarchy” tour. [emphasis, links added]

The revelations have sparked renewed questions over the contrast between their public rhetoric and personal travel habits.

The two progressive lawmakers, who frequently speak out against the wealth and privileges of the political and economic elite, have been traveling by private aircraft while making campaign stops across the country.

He mispronounced impotent.

Guess who was spotted having breakfast in London at the Langham, a 5-Star hotel in London (average price per night $600). A bagel costs 26 dollars and a cup of coffee costs 9 dollars. Socialism has its perks. For the right people, that is.

People like Sanders and AOC have no problem with wealth and privilege - for government officials.

They only object to productive citizens who have earned their wealth and who, accordingly have little use for government officials.

@rustynail

Wonderful reference.

And yes... Bernie would love it. For all the same reasons.

They're so very similar to the Soviet poobahs we heard about as children: the ones living in luxurious dachas while the proletariat were jammed into tiny cold apartments.

Bernie:
I gotta know what a $26 bagel tastes like.

AOC:
You can use my knife for the cream cheese. I don't have cooties.

Bernie:
Yeah, but maybe I do.

AOC:
Cooties, I can handle.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Bernie Sanders' "Fighting Oligarchy" tour spewed over 60 tonnes of CO₂ via private jets—more than an average American emits in 5 years!

There was an article several years ago about how rich Venezuelan government officials were lamenting the plight of the poor in their country, while residing in their very luxurious Florida condos
