The U.S. Air Force is retiring its aging E-3 Sentry AWACS fleet due to declining reliability and limited survivability in modern combat scenarios. These aircraft are being replaced by the more advanced Boeing E-7 Wedgetail, offering enhanced radar capabilities and better integration with contemporary warfare systems.
