McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — The Trump administration is heavily messaging that U.S. visas and green cards can be revoked, and it comes amid reports that international students are being deported for protesting and other actions in the United States.

In several recent posts on X, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is warning visa-holders and those with permanent U.S. residency that their privileges can be taken away.

“Green cards and visas are a privilege reserved for those who make the U.S. better, not those who seek to destroy it from the inside,” a USCIS post on X on Wednesday reads.
 
“Green cards and visas will be revoked if an alien breaks the law,” a USCIS post Tuesday reads.
