Heard something recently about a guy who was convicted of raping infants/toddlers. I do not know how that is even possible.
When I lived in St. Louis many years ago, there was a young man - son of a prominent wealthy businessman - who directed and filmed his girlfriend molesting his own 2-year-old son. He went to prison and eventually committed suicide.

  • Well EXCUSE me!
Jail, that is a load of crap, cut off Mr. Winky then stab him to death slowly over a period of 8-10 days, dipping him into a vat of iodine.
Iodine, not lemon juice?

Epstein operated a honey trap to blackmail influential people.

The only question is, who for? The CIA, Mossad, numerous options...

I suspect for the highest bidder ... for whomever was willing to pay the highest price for dirt on this person or that person ... more competing customers = higher prices

Epstein would have been dead long before if that were the case. He clearly was protected by someone/something that had the resources to do that.

@GtHawk I may be wrong, but I think iodine stings just a bit more, depending on the concentration.

That ain't how leverage works. If you've got the goods, you're pretty much bulletproof. The fear is that at your death, those goods will fall into the hands of the devil they don't know, or worse yet, be revealed in public.

Epstein's death surprised me in that way... I would have expected a publishing frenzy as the 'upon my death' instructions were carried forth... That can only mean that another inherited the goods. And someone else desperately wanted revelation - as the persecution of Epstein's girlfriend ensued...

Dirty business.

To a point. But if Epstein were blackmailing the most powerful people on the planet all things Epstein would have been blackholed along with him. He alone wouldn't have the resources to battle that no matter what he had on them. He worked for something that had the resources to use that information without recourse, for example the CIA.

Salt brine might be better. Cheaper, too.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Doesn't matter who... The means of backing up such information is simple - and usually old-school. Ciphered against a particular book for instance - An almost impossible thing to decipher. Even today. Add in a sneaker-net and repeat in several chains...

And in the modern day - block chain is impossible to crack... Do those things and nobody is going to get your goat.

All you have to do is destroy the knowledge of the key and the data goes with it. Any third party having that info would be a death warrant.

That's true, but the third party would not know how many backup chains are in place. Anyone who backs up knows better than to rely on one chain.

You could be right though - But that makes Epstein a dumass. And just desserts in that case.

Oh man!

A small chicken breast, beat down flat... drag it through the eggwash, drag it through the flour, drag it through the eggwash again... Went for Panco, but I'm out, so dragged it through Italian bread crumbs instead. Fry that up alongside fresh cut french fries in too much oil...

Two pieces of toast, butter on the bottom one, lay on that chicken breast, Swiss cheese,  a hot mustard aoli sauce, bread and butter pickles, slice of onion, a nice lay of romain lettuce, fat cut tomatoes, and top her off with that top toast covered in Dukes.

Did I mention french fries? About 30 points in salt... including a light dust of real salt (mixed seasoning) on the french fries.

It was DIVINE, and I am gravid.  happy77

Yeah, about a `1 lb New York Strip, about 1" thick precooked, on the grill with a squirt of olive oil, onion powder and Montreal Steak Seasoning allowed to seep in. Seared both sides over hot coals, lowered the rack and let it cook a bit more slowly with the grill closed and banked tight to get the most out of the smoke. That and a salad (which is an excuse to eat blue cheese dressing), and I'm good. (low carb, too!)

Yeah... Except I can't have salt so nix the rub, nix the cheese - Which I would throw that bleu cheese on the cut - And without the rub, you may as well forget the smoke...

I swear though... one of these days... I am gonna show up at Famous Daves or the Outback, or the DeSoto Grill and lay out a whole rack of baby backs and them honey baked rolls, and a couple of beers - Damn the doctors all. That'd be worth the 2 day salt bump.
