Despite their denials, China is losing the tariffs war and retreating as fast as it can
Steven W. Mosher

As President Trump brings manufacturing back to the US — and closes in on trade deals with India, Japan, and South Korea — China’s days as “the world’s factory floor” are numbered.  And Beijing is furious.

In a move harking back to the Cultural Revolution, Chinese schoolchildren are again being taught to hate the US. Class time is devoted to shouting anti-American slogans like “China must win the China-US trade war!”

China’s foreign ministry even released a video claiming that China “won’t kneel down” to the US, warning that bowing to US hegemony would be like drinking poison. At the BRICS meeting in Rio this week, Foreign Minister Wang Yi talked tough as well: “Silence or retreat will only embolden bullies.”

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Which is no surprise for anyone who has an ear on things. They are more deeply in debt than we are and no doubt need constant cash flow to keep things propped up.

They also need our exports to feed themselves, so they're screwed both ways. And with our new trade deals, we can go around them.

What's been puzzling to me for quite awhile is the Chinese leadership, they seem so lock up in their Sun Tzu mind games that they don't seem to be able to respond to this with anything other than threatening and scathing woke wordspeak. Which to apply some Sun Tzu back on them sure smells like weakness.

For all the glowing projection and polishing their shiny image, something is not right there, and now it's beginning to be exposed IMO. Very curious as to what is really behind the curtain.

The Republic is lost.
