Did Trump's tariffs hand the election to the Liberals?

Before Trump took office, the left-wing Liberals were the most-hated party in Canada, associated only with the equally-hated PM Justin Trudeau ... polls showed they were headed for electoral wipe-out, and the Conservatives for a large majority

Then Trump treated Canada like an enemy, Trudeau resigned, Carney came in as PM and immediately started portraying himself as the Great Defender of Canada

And it's worked ... Liberals are up on the Conservatives by 4 points, in the latest poll. All because Donald Trump couldn't wait 3 months to go tough on Canada, and let a "right-wing" Government get elected here

We'll know the results by the end of tonight ... even with no voting machines ...
