US unveils world’s most advanced warship with 1,150-mile range, 44-ton payload

A Delaware-based defense company in collaboration with Australian marine autonomy specialist unveiled a design what they describe is ‘the most advanced autonomous naval attack vessel ever designed in the world.’
Named AIRCAT Bengal MC (“Module Carrier”), the warship by Eureka Naval Craft is a 36m multi-mission Surface Effect Ship (SES).
Being developed by Eureka and ESNA Naval Architects, Greenroom, the ship can bolster attack operations.

The defense firm also claims it to be the first autonomous naval vessel anywhere in the world to be able to carry a 44-ton payload (2 X 40 ISO Footprint modules) with a top speed of more than 50 knots, payload depending, and a range of 1,000 nautical miles.
The vessel is expected to be offered to US Navy, US Marine Corps, and navies allied to the US, including AUKUS and NATO countries, as well as Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
It’s also being claimed that the high-tech ship is able to operate crewed and uncrewed. It is further bristling with lethality and can launch Tomahawk cruise missiles and anti-ship Naval Strike Missiles (NSM).
