Knewz.com is reporting that New York Attorney General Letitia James is planning a major fundraiser for her 2026 re-election campaign amid a criminal referral accusing her of mortgage fraud involving properties in New York and Virginia. The Federal Housing Finance Agency suggested James was "lying" by falsely declaring a Virginia property as her main residence and allegedly misrepresenting the number of units in a Brooklyn home. Attorney General James has rejected the claims and declined to discuss any details.
