I’m sure you’re well aware by now that Katy Perry was among the group of women who briefly flew to space this week as part of a mission run by Jeff Bezos’s company Blue Origin.
Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, producer Kerianne Flynn, and scientists Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyễn were also aboard the spacecraft for the 11-minute trip.
After returning safely, Katy notably claimed that the controversial trip was for “the benefit of Earth.” She said, “It’s about a collective energy and making space for future women. It’s about this wonderful world that we see right out there and appreciating it. This is all for the benefit of Earth.”
