US strikes Yemen fuel port as Hamas rejects 'partial' truce
Story by Dharvi Vaid (with AFP, AP, Reuters, dpa) • 3h

Dozens of people were killed after US forces struck a major fuel port in Yemen on Thursday night.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it carried out the strikes on Ras Isa port to "degrade the economic source" of power of the Iran-backed Houthi militants.

"Today, US forces took action to eliminate this source of fuel for the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists," CENTCOM said on social media.

"This strike was not intended to harm the people of Yemen, who rightly want to throw off the yoke of Houthi subjugation and live peacefully," it added.

They were warned what would happen if they kept up the attacks, yet they kept doing it anyway.

The Houthis are the authors of their own misfortune. And are apparently very stupid people, too.

Perhaps the Biden and Obama Administrations conditioned them to believe that lines in the sand are meaningless, and not carved in stone.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
