Um, not exactly San Diego, it was centered more at Julian, a more or less tourist city 60 miles away and with a population of 1350.
Here is video of a TV reporter going into a liquor store to talk about the damage and you will notice that the shelves are still loaded with bottles. I will say that I was in Westminster, CA, about a hundred miles away on the second floor of anhospita and it swayed gently.
Oh yeah I forgot, monster earthquake?

I guess I will cut the Daily Mail some slack, but no one in California would call it a monster quake.
