ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE — President Trump said Friday he took a cognitive test during his annual physical, the results of which he said would be released this weekend.

Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One traveling to Florida that he thought his exam went well. He said it included heart tests and the cognitive test, which he suggested he took partly as a dig at former President Biden.

“Overall I felt I was in very good shape. Good heart. A good soul. Very good soul,” Trump said. “I took — I wanted to be a little different than Biden. I took a cognitive test. I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right.”

The president said the results of the physical would be released on Sunday.

Trump is set to turn 79 in June. He will be 82 at the end of his term, which would make him the oldest individual to hold the office by just a few months over former President Biden when he left office in January.

The president during his first term frequently boasted about his performance on a cognitive test, highlighting his ability to memorize certain words.

Trump has released limited information about his physical health since he left office in 2020. But it was Biden’s physical health and mental acuity that became an issue for voters, and a repeated point of attack for Trump.
