Federal agents have reportedly used a points-based system to label migrants as members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. The system analyzes tattoos, clothing, and other identifiers to classify gang membership and initiate deportation under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act (AEA). Legal challenges have since raised concerns over the fairness and accuracy of the criteria, recently sparking conflict between White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and reporter Andrew Feinberg.
