‘F***ing disaster’: Dems turn on Gov. Whitmer when she appears with Trump, agrees with him on tariffs

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was a budding Democrat star but may have tanked her own political career by appearing with President Donald J. Trump, an unforgivable sin in the eyes of many in her party.

Whitmer joined the president at the White House on Wednesday during a trip to Washington, D.C., standing near him in the Oval Office as he signed executive orders, an appearance that angered party loyalists who complained that she allowed herself to be used as a “prop” for Trump.

The governor was in the nation’s capital for what was to be a private meeting with Trump to discuss tariffs and other matters but ended up standing near the Resolute Desk as he spoke to reporters, getting a shout-out from the nation’s leader who praised her for doing an “excellent job” and being a “good person.”

Trump actually set Whitmer up pretty good for that really devastating photo op...she stupidly walked right into his trap.
