US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene made hefty trades days before Donald Trump's tariffs announcement tanked the stock market.

The MAGA proponent made 15 investments between March 16 and March 24. Her three largest moves were putting hundreds of thousands of dollars towards US Treasury Bills, also know as T-Bills.

T-Bills are short-term debt obligations that are considered low risk, so they may bring in lower returns than other kinds of investments.

Members of Congress should be required to put all of their investments in a blind trust during the time they hold office.

Mmmm... I would say they should just have to register as insiders if they're not already.

Congress exempted its members from insider trading laws.  That, not graft, is the main way Congresscritters get filthy rich on their relatively meager salaries.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I hate the filthy crap our congresscritters do in the area of inside trading, as much or more than anyone else.

I think MTG is a clown, but this charge is bullshit....

(1) Everyone under the sun knew tariffs were coming.  I knew it , and adjusted knowing tariffs would impact equities.  Does that make me an insider trader?   Moving something to a broad asset class based on common knowledge is NOT INSIDER TRADING
(2) If MTG had invested in XYZ corporation based on a government contract, or tip....  yes I'd be screaming too.
(3) We have Pelosi blatantly doing insider trading for decades, and making millions, and some here want to take a jab at someone investing in  T-Bills?  More and more I think we have a TBR faction here  that is more angrily focused on MAGA than our real enemies...  The dims.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I agree.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
