Trump says open to tariff negotiations, contradicting White House aides

U.S. President Donald Trump said he would be open to negotiating with other countries for “phenomenal” offerings, contradicting White House aides who insist the sweeping tariffs are non-negotiable.

“If somebody said that we’re going to give you something that’s so phenomenal, as long as they’re giving us something that’s good,” he told reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday.

His comments come after several White House officials insisted that the newly announced reciprocal tariffs were not negotiable. Top Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro told CNBC the tariffs are “not a negotiation.”

Trump just changes his mind from day to day, depending on what mood he's in, and leaves his staff, cabinet members, and other officials twisting in the wind...
