President Donald Trump has initiated the removal of several senior officials from the White House National Security Council following a push from far-right activist Laura Loomer, who urged the president to dismiss staffers she viewed as not fully aligned with his "Make America Great Again" agenda, multiple sources familiar with the situation told the Associated Press.

Loomer reportedly presented her findings during a meeting in the Oval Office, making the case for the personnel changes. Attending the meeting were Vice President JD Vance, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and Presidential Personnel Office Director Serio Gor, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the discussions.

NSC spokesperson Brian Hughes declined to comment to the AP on either the meeting or the reported firings.
