Stossel: Why Europe's Economy has Fallen Behind the US

A very enlightening and interesting interview.

The Death of Europe: High Taxes, Too Many Regs...  Economic Stagnation
Many Americans say the U.S. should follow Europe’s example: free healthcare, generous welfare benefits, protection for workers.
But what they don’t tell you is that Europe is falling behind.

John Stossel
@JohnStossel
Europe has free healthcare!
“No!” says economist @S_R_Larson, “You get the RIGHT to free healthcare, but whether you actually get [it] is a different story.”

Here’s why Europe has fallen behind:

What's with the elites' fascination with alleged European socialist superiority?

If you're a rich frog that eats snails, with lots of butter and garlic, you can afford to emigrate when the crap hits the fan.

The rest of them are refueling their torches, sharpening their pitchforks, and filling their Molotov cocktails for the next anti-government, anti-EU uprising.

Other people will run out of money for their European governments to spend.

Don't forget, that many of those European nations made their fortunes by enslaving other continents.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

The economist quite clearly spells out how there will be no one left to work and pay taxes in Sweden and other nations - no one left to fund this hideous welfare state.  We really are seeing the death of western culture there.

It's not so much the elites these days.

It is a message that Marc Zuckerberg implanted in millions of millennials' minds by selectively feeding it to them on social media. He platformed a series of slickly produced Facebook and Instagram accounts that have done nothing but paint rosy pictures of the European social welfare state and how much better it is than the horrible, no good, unfair American system. And the millennials, who quite frankly, we've been handed a turd sandwich and been told it's gourmet economically speaking, ate it right up.

Pure envy.
