Mike Lindell Floats Run Against Tim Walz

Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow and erstwhile Trump advisor, is floating a potential run for elected office, saying that he’s considering challenging Tim Walz for governor of Minnesota in 2026.

Walz, who sits slightly above water in most recent polling, may be vulnerable to a well-funded Republican challenger, Lindell said on his own podcast this week.

“When I do my due diligence, and we’re going to do polling, we’re gonna get a couple different polls to be taken,” the businessman said on Monday.

Before he waded into conservative media, Lindell had already endeared himself to customers of his pillow company by manufacturing his products in the U.S. and sharing his longtime battle against drug addiction. On both fronts, he believes he is well-positioned to wrestle with Walz.

“What are they going to do? ‘Well, Mike Lindell, you know he was a crack addict,” he said, laughing. “Yeah? What else you got?”

“I am considering it, and I’m going to do due diligence… I’m going to make some bigger announcements tomorrow,” Lindell promised.
