The Atlantic Got Caught Lying Again. This Time on a Deportation Fake News Sob Story.
Matt Vespa

The Atlantic thought they could get a scalp with the Signal story involving top Trump officials discussing anti-Houthi operations. That chat, which was held on an encrypted, government-approved messenger app, accidentally added the publication’s editor and notorious anti-Trump writer Jeffrey Goldberg, who claimed classified information was divulged. It was not, and no one cared because we know the publication peddled in myth. The DC bubble is not the people. It barely dented Trump’s approval rating. When the usual anti-Trump critics come to full froth, it’s usually over nothing. Again, the people know Trump now; these stories aren’t going to work, especially when they’re soaked in lies.

So, imagine our surprise when this deportation sob story in The Atlantic turned out to be fake news trash. It’s another piece of propaganda aimed at trying to dent the immensely popular mass deportation policy Trump has initiated. Some father was taken off the streets and deported. Yeah, first, he’s an illegal alien. Second, he’s not some father: he’s a member of MS-13, which was buried in the story. This man was also cited by the courts as a danger to public safety six years ago:

Court filings show Abrego Garcia came to the United States at age 16 in 2011 after fleeing gang threats in his native El Salvador. In 2019 he received a form of protected legal status known as “withholding of removal” from a U.S. immigration judge who found he would likely be targeted by gangs if deported back.

Abrego Garcia, who is married to a U.S. citizen and has a 5-year-old disabled child who is also a U.S. citizen, has no criminal record in the United States, according to his attorney. The Trump administration does not claim he has a criminal record, but called him a “danger to the community” and an active member of MS-13, the Salvadoran gang that Trump has declared a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

This guy is responding to Jon Favreau's boo-hooing about this poor, misunderstood fellow:

The a****le you’re talking about is Kilmar Armando Abrego-Garcia, According to court filings in 2019, Abrego-Garcia was found to be a member of the MS-13 gang and was subject to deportation. The Department of Justice said in its filing that Abrego-Garcia is a danger to the community, and there is a "strong public interest" against importing alleged members of a violent gang into the U.S..
Just because you don’t like the violent truth about Abrego-Garcia doesn’t mean that truth should be ignored.

Here is the ABC version

ICE admits to an 'administrative error' after Maryland man sent to El Salvador prison

Kilmer Armado Abrego-Garcia has legal status, according to his attorneys.

A Maryland man with protected legal status was sent to the notorious prison in El Salvador following an "administrative error," a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official admitted in a sworn declaration on Monday.

Kilmer Armado Abrego-Garcia who has a U.S. citizen wife and 5-year-old child is currently at CECOT, the notorious prison in El Salvador.

The filing is part of a new lawsuit filed by Abrego-Garcia's attorneys who are requesting that the government of El Salvador return him to the U.S. after being sent there "because of an administrative error."

Abrego-Garcia's attorneys said that he "is not a member of or has no affiliation with Tren de Aragua, MS-13, or any other criminal or street gang" and said that the U.S. government "has never produced an iota of evidence to support this unfounded accusation."

In response to the error, the government has acknowledged the error but said in a filing that because Abrego-Garcia is no longer in U.S. custody, the court cannot order him to be returned to the U.S. nor can the court order El Salvador to return him.

The "Maryland father" has been in US illegally since 2011. After he was caught with other illegals outside a Home Depot in 2019, all suspected of being MS-13 gang members, he was arrested. Then he was allowed to marry his US wife pregnant with his child WHILE IN US CUSTODY.
