These efforts look to me like the product of two years of investigations, not two months.
And Democrats are upset at Trump and Musk saving America from more corruption and waste?????

7,279 contract terminations itemized on 728 pages saving $25 billion

9,283 grant terminations itemized on 929 pages saving $33 billion

676 leases terminated itemized on 68 pages saving $400 million

What’s draw dropping is despite all those savings, probably less than 2% of the annual budget has been saved. It’s all hype unless they start getting rid of some of the larger items

The last 4 years of the Biden Admin has been a like a long ride in a Poop de Ville with the bottom down.  So anything they cut is a good start, unless it is toilet paper.

Despite all that is currently being done, I still think we are too far gone to be redeemed. Trump a DOGE might delay the inevitable for awhile but as an overall matter, "The Republic is Lost!"

I believe you re correct.  Regression toward the mean is a fact of nature and the mean is aptly named;  it is mean, keying, spray painting, and burning Teslas out of bitterness and hatred is the latest. "When they go low, we go high." - Barack Obama, who reminded Americans that "Climate change is the biggest threat facing America."  Then he purchased an oceanfront mansion on Martha's Vineyard.
