Trump shouldn’t wait a day longer to make Putin feel pain for playing him for a sucker

President Trump might as well not wait on his coming call with Russia’s Vladimir Putin: Impose those secondary tariffs on Russian oil now, so Vlad finally realizes you’re serious.

Trump raised the new tariff threat over the weekend, noting that he’s “very angry” and “pissed off” at Putin for stalling the US drive for a lasting peace in the Ukraine-Russia war.

Putin’s minions this month agreed to partial cease-fires in the Black Sea and regarding attacks on energy facilities — only for the Kremlin to rapidly break both agreements even as it added new demands for embracing any accord at all.

Trump is still giving Putin room to back off: “If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” the president told NBC.

Pres. Trump probably thought he was gonna get an unpleasant-but-rational guy like some of the union leaders he had to work with in his New York days ... those guys you can make trade-off agreements with.

Instead, he's finding out that Putin is - like all dictators - a full-blown psychopath, who has no problem with lying, duplicity, mind games, stalling ... same goes for the Hitler, leaders of Hamas, Little Kim, the Iranian mullahs, Ortega (again) in Nicaragua, etc.

They won't deal honestly, they'll play you all they can. Look at how nice Pres. trump was to Kim in Term 1, what did that get in return? More threats, more weapons development.

Pres. Trump and Putin are opposites ... Putin lies, deceives, and kills political opponents, Pres. Trump is honest & up-front, and has never killed a political opponent in his life.

Trump called Putin's bluff.

Putin doesn't want piece, he wants all of Ukraine.
