President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”

“A lot of people want me to do it,” Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call with NBC News, referring to his allies. “But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”

(snip)

When asked whether he has been presented with plans to allow him to seek a third term, Trump said, “There are methods which you could do it.”

NBC News asked about a possible scenario in which Vice President JD Vance would run for office and then pass the role to Trump. Trump responded that “that’s one” method.

“But there are others too,” Trump added.

Asked to share another method, Trump simply responded “no.”

Best trolling ever ....  even better than Gulf of America, making Canada 51 state, and invading Greenland.  How better to distract, anger, and confuse the left than to make them so mad, they can't think straight.  Strategy is working to a "T"

The fact we have Briefers getting vapors over this is funnier than the troll itself. No....  The constitution is clear.  Trump has to stop at 2 terms, and he knows it.

Why do we want a President to be a troll, anyway?

He took an oath of office to uphold the constitution. He just violated that oath.

This is immediate grounds for removal from office.

I am sure you have been on the internet for 25 years like, me in forums and chat rooms.  The angrier you can make the person you are arguing with, the less coherent and focused they become.

No better way to deflect your opponent than to make them so mad, they are frothing at the mouth.   If we were dealing with sane people on the left, I'd buy your POV.  But these bat shit crazy lefties need "special tactics", and DJT is delivering big time.

In essence, we have been playing nice for 40 years, and that has gotten us no where.   I am all for another direction, in that respect.

And by 2028 when we have a POTUS Vance or DeSantis, we will return to more normalcy.

Bullshit...., don't be silly by suggesting removal.  It can be done.

There is a means to do it.  But it would be hard if not impossible to do it by 2028.

(1) Legislatively revoke the 22nd Amendment by 2/3 votes in Senate and House
(2) Get 38 statehouse by majority vote to approve

I think you're in denial frankly. The country isn't really 50/50, it's probably like 33/33/33 1/3 liberals, 1/3 conservatives, 1/3 normies who probably don't pay attention. When the President starts trolling I think you'll alienate those normies and Trump will LOSE like he LOST in 2020. He can't run again, but the Republicans will suffer the consequences.

And yet he  still is riding higher in the polls than the day he was elected, while turning up the trolling.  The "normies" you speak of, are really the ones who are trending Trump.  Hearing unfiltered honesty and an unwavering approach to expose and dismantle Fedzilla...  Sounds like an winning strategy to me.

There are/were  2 TDS republicans in my coffee klatch who love what Musk is doing, and now are supporting Trump, while staying home last November 3rd.

Trump teases running for a third term: 'Not joking'
'I like working,' Trump says
 By Emma Colton Fox News
Published March 30, 2025 3:17pm EDT

President Donald Trump teased he might run for a third term, explaining to NBC News that he enjoys working and is "not joking" about making another run for the Oval Office.

"A lot of people want me to do it," Trump told NBC News in a phone interview on Sunday. "But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration."

For now, he's "focused on the current" term, but told the outlet he was "not joking" about making a run for a third term.

"It is far too early to think about it," he added.

he's not talking about that. He's talking about a loophole I have already discredited: the one where he is elected VP and the President either steps aside or is ineligible, supposedly allowing him back into office.

That's even more far fetched than revoking the 22nd.  This is trolling designed to drive the left wing crazy.  AT the end of his 3rd term  he'd be approaching 87 years old.  So hold off on buying that acreage in Greenland.

Right now, I'd be more concerned with his Tariff strategy unraveling.
