Fed appeals court to hear case on judge halting Trump deporting accused gang members to El Salvador

Earlier this month, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued an order temporarily blocking the Trump administration from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal migrants to El Salvador and Honduras.

On March 15, Boasberg, a U.S. District judge, issued an order temporarily blocking the Trump administration from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal migrants to El Salvador and Honduras.

Administration lawyers argued that the planes were already in the air. Boasberg ordered the planes to be turned around, but they didn't.

The administration requested a stay pending appeal the day of the ruling, referring to it as a "massive, unauthorized imposition on the Executive’s authority to remove dangerous aliens who pose threats to the American people," according to Fox News.

"Boasberg criticized the administration for missing the deadline, saying it "again evaded its obligations" to turn over information about the flights and individuals on them. "

So Boasberg can criticize Trump but Trump isn't allowed to criticize Boasberg?  What does John Roberts have to say about a judge's bias making a statement on an active case - besides nothing. :pondering:

Ordering the planes to be turned around was incredibly ignorant.  Planes typically carry enough fuel for the one way trip, plus some extra for insurance.  This is a stupid Judge.

Then the government should have promised to bring them back to the U.S. with their passengers once they were refueled.  Last I checked, planes can be refueled on the ground without having to let everyone on board get off and wander away.

Boasberg has said in open court that he will find against the Administration no matter what they do or say.  He has obviously prejudged the case.

The plane was out of the jurisdiction by then.  El Salvador was under no obligation to return the prisoners that were on their soil.  You're reaching.
