He sucked as Mayor of Chicago, and as an advisor to Clinton, that will not get him anything these days. By 2027, Clinton affiliated folks might be held in the same esteem as lepers.

He will be a 1% if he runs. Perhaps he is angling for VP with a POTUS run. He will never make it to the top of that heap.

They are selling that they are the NOT Trump, and will continue to do so. They are desperate to get their gravy train back. There isn't any altruism in those ranks beyond the bottom, the top tiers are loaded with the greedy and power hungry (and often wealthy) who push the
envy that made Communism possible, promising the moon and stars to their followers while reserving the real benefits for themselves. It's a cult, looking for a leader to follow, and if it finds one, is well enough financed to make them into anything they want them to appear.
Maybe Rahm is the one, maybe not, but the Democrats have the media (propaganda) to have foisted Sniffy Joe on the American People, even convince some that he "won" the 2020 election, or that he was
compos mentis while in office despite
prima facie evidence that he was not.
Despite their operation being revealed for what it is, the faithful still believe.
For that reason, any reasonably competent (as in mentally) Democrat, especially if they have or build name recognition, is a potential threat.
