Environmental Impact of Renewables
 
While it is true that renewable energy sources like solar and wind power are cleaner compared to fossil fuels, they come with their own environmental costs. The production of solar panels, for instance, involves the use of hazardous materials that can be detrimental to the environment.

Furthermore, large wind farms can have significant effects on local wildlife. Birds and bats, for example, are often victims to wind turbines.

It's essential to weigh these impacts when considering the true cost of renewable energy.

Land Use and Habitat Disruption
 
Expanding renewable energy infrastructure requires significant land use, which can lead to habitat disruption. Solar farms need expansive areas of land, and this can result in the displacement of local flora and fauna.
