Excerpt:
A so-called “massive” anti-Trump protest outside the U.S. Capitol revealed just how far the left’s momentum has crumbled, drawing a paltry crowd of demonstrators demanding President Donald Trump’s impeachment. The event, which barely registered a pulse, unfolded with all the energy of a Biden rally—meaning, virtually none. Reports from the scene paint a picture of sparse attendance, with only a handful of stragglers waving signs and chanting half-heartedly, a stark contrast to the fiery crowds of Trump’s supporters. Posts on X are already mocking the turnout, with one user quipping, “This ‘protest’ looks like a Biden campaign stop—where’s the crowd?”

The remaining remnants of USAID color revolution dollars just don’t go as far as they used to.

They can't even get the personal insults correct.  Donald Trump is actually just below a 3 handicap which is impressive for any recreational golfer.

The Democrat donors who paid for protestors-for-hire under Trump closed their wallets before Biden took office. Since Trump took office a second time, Biden's Presidency is fast becoming a forgotten memory or urban legend. Trump is the proverbial bull in the China Shop of Washington DC and determined to clean house like no President has ever done before.

Those same Democrats who paid to oppose Trump's first Presidency, paid for the Biden/Harris and Harris/Walz campaigns, are more disillusioned with the Democratic party than we are. Lindy Li is letting that cat out of the bag. Starting eight years ago, in total they paid a few billion to oppose Trump. Eight years later they have nothing to show for it. Making it worse for them, they know what they got through Biden, Trump wants to and is trying to take away.

Since opposing Trump and backing Democrats has gone from business as usual to Democrat collapse and a generational paradigm shift in how US politics is run, Democrat donors are keeping their wallets closed to the Trump Resistance.

After eight years the top Democrat donors are tired of paying losers to lose.

Who was the first to call him "the bull in the china shop"?

Trump will still run his "3rd-party outsider" campaign as a "loose cannon".

I doubt he would sign anything that limited what he could say, or that forced him to get GOPe approval before saying so.

He can continue to be the bull in the Pubbie china shop for now, and have a rip-roarin' good time whilst doing so.

And then -- if he goes so far as to actually win the nomination -- the Republican GOPe will be the ones who are forced -- FORCED -- to support him in the general election.

Might not be a bad deal for Mr. Trump after all...

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Looks like they put all their organizing money into the USAID basket.

Looks like manufactured outrage is running out of gas.

"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Apparently, the lefties are boycotting Amazon for some reason that I seem to have missed. Here's what one of my acquaintances posted on Facebook:
Quote
Tomorrow starts the Amazon boycott, which was originally slated to run a week, but now I hear we are encouraged to go through the end of the month. This I can do. Bear in mind, we currently receive packages from Amazon daily, so this will cost us - in time, in convenience, and ultimately, in money. I can do this because I Have to do it. I Have to do what I can to help stop the runaway train that is Trump 2.0.

Let me be clear on one thing, however. My fight is not with the 77 million who voted him into office. I don't understand it, and never will. How this Hate Merchant duped so many Americans has both frustrated and saddened me, but I will not give in to Hate. My life has been guided by simple principles, like those outlined in Robert Fulghum's "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" - simple, heart-based, open-minded kindness. But make no mistake, I Will Fight against this despot in the White House and his coterie of billionaires, who care about Nothing and No One, save their unyielding hunger for more money and power.

This I can do, and the next thing, and the next, because I Have to do something.

God bless America. God bless Ukraine. God bless the whole world with no exceptions.
Not sure how not ordering something from Amazon will help Ukraine, but we don't expect any of it to make sense, do we?

I noticed you said "acquaintance".  Man, I know people just like her. Seamingly rational 40-50 y/o women who are batcrap nutz whose whole identity and lifes focus is opposing trump.  Mean Girls.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

She's my sister's best friend since high school. After college, she married, had children, was told by her husband that he didn't love her, so after the divorce she went lesbian and very left wing. She and my sister are polar opposites, but still friends.
