I’m aware.  And in an alternate timeline, the US could have cozied up to the Germans in the 1930s.   Instead FDR formed an alliance with mass murderer Joseph Stalin, and rewarded him with Eastern Europe.  How do you feel about that? 

I am just glad we kept troops out of Europe until Germany had bankrupted itself and spent its army in the east.  The US should not have intervened in World War I, and was wise to stay out of the next war until finally it was dragged in.  I don’t know why Europe of the 1940s is paraded around by the neocons.  The war ended in enslavement for half of the continent, nearly destroying the other half.  What unintended consequences will stem from our involvement in Ukraine?

I think that Winston Churchill and George S. Patton were right...the U.S. and UK should have beat the Soviets out of Eastern Europe while we had the forces there to do it.
