It is a soft assimilation technique. Until a few decades ago, America was all about assimilation. America was called 'The Great Melting Pot'.
Then the activist (anti-America agitators) came up with their 'National Pride' movement with the sole purpose to divide America into camps and tribes. It worked. America is more divided today than ever before. A common language provides a path to cohesion.
One of the biggest and most vitriolic issues in Europe is the obstinate refusal of immigrants, especially Muslim migrants, to assimilate into greater European society. So, the immigrants end up building their own little fiefdoms inside the country in which they live. Essentially they create their own little countries with their own rules, their own allegiances, and their own laws inside the European country.
They become the very definition of a Fifth Column with the ultimate goal of subverting and disrupting the nations which take care of them and pay them housing, welfare, and healthcare.
The EU mandated and achieved the overwhelming malignant immigration policies which the Democrats fought so hard to bring to the United States, and it is destroying Europe.
