The states with plans to end Daylight Saving Time after Trump pledged change

Several US states are are aiming to end Daylight Saving Time, after President Donald Trump pledged to put an end to Americans changing their clocks.

Some states have been fighting to do away with the practice even before Trump weighed in on the annual event late last year.

'The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn't!' Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform in December.

'Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation.'

Arizona and Hawaii are the only states to observe standard time all year-round.

Hawaii has never observed Daylight Saving Time, while Arizona stopped doing so in 1968.

The US Senate passed a bill to make Daylight Saving Time permanent in 2022, but it failed to pass in the House.

'[T]his past weekend, we all went through that biannual ritual of changing the clock back and forth, and the disruption that comes with it,' Senator Marco Rubio said at the time.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Ugh...  Can you imagine the confusion if half the states revoke, and half remain?  No thanks... one way or the other.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Florida voted on DST and it passed .... I'm not sure why it was never enacted?

It's ridiculous actually -- either ALL states stay on DST or do away with it permanently.

I'd prefer they eliminate DST (which is 8 months of the years) and move Eastern New England to the Atlantic Time Zone.

I think Trump will slam the gavel and make time national and consistent across the county.
The 'time' has come ... to normalize time.

I don't have a problem with changing the clocks, except for one.

It's a small travel clock that runs from an AA battery.
The problem is that the buttons on top to set the alarm and time are so old they don't make contact anymore. You can't adjust the clock that way.

The only recourse is to remove the battery, and replace it.
The clock defaults to "1.00".

So each change of the clock, I have to have it in my hands at "1" (new time) and quickly remove and replace the battery...!
