Catholic Bishops Sue Trump for Cutting Migrant Welfare Funding

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) sued the Trump administration Wednesday over the loss of tens of millions in federal funding for its services for illegal migrants.

The Catholic organization claims its loss of millions in U.S. taxpayer dollars is a violation of the Refugee Act of 1980, Fox News reported.


“For decades, the US government has chosen to admit refugees and outsourced its statutory responsibility to provide those refugees with resettlement assistance to non-profit organizations like USCCB,” the lawsuit alleges.

“But now, after refugees have arrived and been placed in USCCB’s care, the government is attempting to pull the rug out from under USCCB’s programs by halting funding,” the suit adds.

The filing goes on to insist that Trump does not have the authority to choke off aid that was approved by Congress.

1.  Apparently Catholic Bishops don't believe that what Caesar giveth, Caesar can taketh away.

2.  Apparently the faith of Catholic Bishops is in the American dollar, not in God.

I just walked out of Church. The first time I ever have. The Catholic priest is going off on Trump and his mass deportations at St. James Cathedral.
I cant fathom how deporting child s—x offenders, murderers, gang members would be un-Christlike.
Once again, I am reminded not to attend the 12 pm time slot. Not all priests are the same. I will be back this evening.

The Catholic is not the church we grew up on, sadly.

Doctrine has taken a back seat to politics, and monetary greed as the receipts are no longer coming in as times past.

A strong leader can correct this decline and return to morality and understanding God's message
