Trump’s USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins on Lowering Egg Prices: ‘We’re On It,’ ‘Going to Do Everything We Can to Address It’

WASHINGTON — U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins told Breitbart News late last week that President Donald Trump and his administration are keenly focused on lowering the price of eggs in the United States and prepared to take any and all actions needed to do so.

Rollins, who was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Thursday as Trump’s Secretary of Agriculture, spoke to Breitbart News on Friday afternoon on her first full day as Secretary. Rollins previously served in Trump’s White House in his first term, and then later launched the America First Policy Institute—an outside group advocating for America First policies.

After Trump’s historic victory in November’s election, she was appointed to lead USDA—which is a critically important government department involved heavily in policies focused on food prices. Her interview with Breitbart News on Friday afternoon was her first print interview with a non-trade publication.

Rollins said that one of the very critical parts of Trump’s mandate is to lower food prices and combat inflation, and she intends to be part of leading the charge to make that happen.

I heard (or read?) that 40 million laying chickens have either died or have been culled. It’s going to take some time to recover from that. Foghorn Leghorn to the rescue!

Local COSTCO has 18 egg carboard plats for $6.  Limit of three per visit.

Wegman's have all their display coolers filled to the brim.  Limit 10 dozen  $4.99  Organic $6 per dozen.

However, they were sold out of Egg Whites...pints AND quarts.

Well they never ran it but they sold it off for back taxes.   Funny footnote.  The original owner, Joe Conforte, bought it back for pennies on the dollar under an assumed name!
