Deep in the heart of Texas, just outside of Dallas, is the new community of Epic City, a totally Muslim City. Amy Mek sees it as the beginning of the end. It is a big change for Texas. That’s certain.

The problem with Islam is it is a total way of life, political, social, religious, and there can be no other way. Sharia Law cannot coexist with the US Constitution. The US needs people to assimilate.

What Is the Plan for Epic City

This planned community, near Dallas, aims to be Sharia-compliant. That means it will follow Islamic law.

The plan includes homes, schools, a mosque, shops, and more. Some people are worried about what this means for Texas and America.

EPIC City is being developed by the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC). They have acquired over 400 acres in Josephine, Texas, to build this community.

The project will feature a mosque at its center, surrounded by houses, townhomes, apartments, Muslim schools, parks, gyms, and other facilities.

Many Texans are expressing concerns about EPIC City. Some see it as creating a separate Muslim-only area, which they fear could lead to segregation.

They worry it might become a “no-go zone,” where non-Muslims feel unwelcome. Critics also fear that introducing Sharia law could conflict with U.S. laws and values.

On the other hand, supporters argue that EPIC City is about religious freedom. Except it’s not simply a religion. It’s a complete life plan.

Very expeditiously if it hasn't happened already the state of TX needs to pass legislation that the Constitution overrides Sharia law.

It's been done in a couple of states. 

The problem arises in the 1st Amendment as it may be interpreted that Sharia law is freedom of religion???

This has  been tried before. There is no law against creating the communities, but their laws will not supersede the common law of the land.

Muslim mega city hangs in balance as furious residents blast plans for a loudspeaker with a call to prayer

Opponents of a proposed Muslim city in Texas flooded a public meeting Monday in hopes of stopping a controversial Islamic compound from getting necessary permits to begin construction.

For hours, the Collin County Commissioners Court heard dozens of speakers pleading with them to deny the East Plano Islamic Center or EPIC, permits needed to build a city for Muslims that's meant to be 'the epicenter of Islam in America' by organizers.

EPIC, a sprawling house of worship located in Plano, Texas- just north of Dallas- has recently become a target for Gov. Greg Abbott who has accused the mosque of breaking the law, despite no arrests or charges being made public.

Gov. Abbott has expressed his fears the city will introduce extremist sharia law practices to Texas, which would govern religion, marriage and punishment for crime. 

In early 2024, EPIC announced what it called a 'historic project,' EPIC City, a community centered in Islam after buying 402 acres of land just outside of Josephine, Texas.

EPIC City, with a brand new mosque serving as the town center, will feature 1,000 new homes, a schools and even a shopping center.

Many residents of the 2,000-person town of Josephine voiced their concerns, although the Islamic development is outside the city limits. 

'They want to install a loud system, a speaker system, that would blast their music to call them to prayer, and they could do it as long as they wanted to because they specifically choose a site just outside the city so they can do that,' Susan Martinez told the commission.

She also shared that her small, rural community is already dealing with water restrictions, even without any new construction.

I think there are already laws on the Tx books that prohibit Sharia.

As far as the call to prayer...if it's outside of the city limits I'm not sure there is a lot that can be done.

The water maybe the biggest issue. We have a lot of small developments applying around here and that seems to be the sticking issue on getting permits. And the requirement that they maintain their own roads. Somehow that doesn't go over well with developers.
