Dems Admit Renewables Need Taxpayer Cash To Compete, Fight Trump’s Energy Push

During an Energy Committee hearing Wednesday on how to return the U.S. to President Donald Trump’s vision of “American Energy Dominance,” House Democrats argued that increasing wind and solar farms on the grid are key to achieving that vision. [emphasis, links added]

While arguing that renewable energy is the lowest-cost technology available, Democrats also criticized Trump for freezing taxpayer funding for the industry, which they say is going to prevent this low-cost industry from expanding.

The concerns Democrats raised in the hearing echo those coming in the wake of Trump’s executive orders he signed upon taking office, which declared a national energy emergency and revoked much of former President Joe Biden’s climate agenda.

The cash isn't needed to "compete."  That's the word they chose to mask the truth of why they want the money.  It's about controlling the American people, not competing, ****slapping

I don't see any reason why we should pay twice for electricity.
Once to make it 'competitive' and again, at inflated rates, for the kwh we use.

If one makes the argument that renewable energy sources are "low-cost", one cannot then simultaneously insist that they must be taxpayer-subsidized in order to succeed. 

If wind and solar power were useful, efficient and competitively priced, they would dominate the energy market by means of their intrinsic and comparative values. 

Democrats however, are not interested in economic value or efficiency; they are motivated by power, control, and by the promise of spending other people's money in ways that make them feel virtuous.
