Newly confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi is expected to direct the Department of Justice (DOJ) to establish a “Weaponization Working Group,” tasked with reviewing instances of “politicized justice” over the last four years.
The group will examine prosecutions brought against President Donald Trump while he was running for office by cases brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Special Counsel Jack Smith in Florida and Washington, DC as part of its first actions.
According to Fox News, the working group will also investigate alleged prosecutorial abuse related to key issues affecting conservatives, including the prosecution of individuals at the Capitol on January 6, FBI targeting of Catholic groups, the targeting of parents at school board meetings, and the use of the FACE Act against protesters near abortion clinics.
